There were tears, laughs and respect flowing from the full room at the concluding session for ADC 2019 as three hero women shared their tales of resilience, adversity and strength from their experiences in the dairy industry.
Broadcaster and journalist Virginia Haussegger hosted the session with three hero dairy women elders including Jan Raleigh (77 from Timboon), Shirley Wilson (75 from Tamworth) and Edna Winifred Oslear (74 from Moss Vale) in a moving tribute to the role of women in Australia’s dairy industry.
The ladies charmed ADC delegates with three varied tales of their dairy journey, telling it how it is and the reasons they are still active on the farm today. With dairy in their blood these ladies certainly inspired our ADC community and we thank them for being a part of ADC 2019 and sharing their stories.
