Australian Dairy Conference

WANTED: Clever ideas and innovation

The hunt is on to find the nation's most ingenious and creative dairy innovation in a new initiative 'THE PITCH' as part of the Australian Dairy Conference 2018.

Seeking the top ideas, innovations, tips, tools, products or services that deliver immediate on-farm impact, entries are open to farmers, public and private organisations, sponsors, research bodies, scientists and service companies to bring novel and creative ideas to farmer delegates.

A shortlist of up to 10 finalists will be selected to present their concept to ADC Melbourne 2018 with an engaging and entertaining FIVE minute pitch to a judging panel and Conference delegates. Finalists will need to demonstrate why their idea is the number one thing farmers should introduce or act on when they return to their dairy business post Conference.

Check out this innovation from Victorian dairy farmer Lauren Finger's father to improve on-farm safety and productivity. For an investment of $59.80 for some magnetic strips plus some cable ties he managed to improve efficiency and manoueverability for moving electric fence posts.
