Australian Dairy Conference

The Australian Dairy Conference hits Melbourne, Victoria in 2018 with the Pre Conference Tour heading to the notable Gippsland Dairy Region, in South East Victoria.

Gippsland is classified as a major Australian dairy region producing around 1.9 billion litres of milk per annum and accounting for approximately 21% of national milk output and is the biggest contributor to the local economy.

The region is host to approximately 1,300 dairy farms and 362,000 cows with an average herd size of 266. Victoria's south western dairy region is largely rainfall based but with significant irrigated dairy farming in the Macalister Irrigation District centred on Maffra.

The Pre Conference Tour will be conducted on Monday 12 February with itinerary to be released with Conference Program in late 2017.
